Spin cycle

May 24th, 2004 · No Comments

Yesterday was one of those days. One of those days I want to sleep on it before I write on it. A day where I wish for the fast forward button but it’s nowhere to be found.

I had written a lengthy post describing all the details of the day including my eye doctor appointment and late night talk with Ted. But I’m thinking it might be wiser to write a summary. To say it with simplicity.

Yesterday I felt like I was in a car wash. In a washing machine. On spin cycle. Going round and round. A huge wishy-washy sloshy overwhelming feeling that started spilling out of me. Blurry with windshield wipers that didn’t work. It was a rainy day.

Today was sunshine. A dryer day. It was flowers and fruit, flavors and perfumes. I picked a bouquet and saw my first roses blooming. Sitting on our deck beneath blue skies, we enjoyed grilled steak with wine. A day of clarity. A day of rest. Peace.
