This week the girls and I started reading Little House in the Big Woods. It fits well with our studies of early American life – and also with the fact that our family has three daughters too. Abigail and Michaela like it and have created a new game from it: Do you want to play Laura and Mary?
I’ve overheard bits of their conversations, which include talking about roasting pig tails and this piece of dialogue:
Mary (Abigail). Now it’s time to take Pa to the BART.
Laura (Michaela): Oh, that’s a lot of work!

Funny! Emily has enjoyed that series too. How fun you have just the right composition of family!
