Inspired by stories and enchanting images from holiday hikers, the girls and I took a walk in Fairy Dell Park near Battle Point Park on Bainbridge Island. It’s not as idyllic or isolated as The Grand Forest (and the ivy would give any organic gardener conniptions) but following the trail through the forest to the sea was tranquil on a Monday morning.
