Sick as I was, I stopped by my aggregator from time to time to get a glimpse of the outside world….

  • Jay McCarthy’s A Letter to Beatrice: breakin’ up is hard to do… and Jay’s writing is classic.
  • Fellow island blogger Chip Gibbons doesn’t know why his post is the number one search result for “gary ridgeway”on Google. (Robert Scoble recently remarked Um, weblogs are actually showing up too high for their real-world relevance. Here, why am I the #3 “Robert?”) Reading through the comments on Chip’s original Gary Ridgeway post from November 5, 2003 is a fascinating ride through what kinds of conversation can occur given a high search engine ranking for blog post on a serial killer.
  • David Weinberger’s link to Daniel Pink’s Wired piece Revenge of the Right Brain – description of the Conceptual Age and the changes it will bring – encouraging.
  • Banana Slug Club (with picture!) – yum!
  • Beth Grigg’s thoughts on blog business summit – funny and insightful – and yes, I’d like to see Chris Pirillo perform the Microsoft musical! 😉
