Simple pleasures

My simple pleasures:

I like flowers whether

feminine

fiery or

first

I like hands in the dirt
knees on the ground
planting and digging in the soil inside me

I like hot baths and vanilla bubbles
pillows and thick blankets
a night of sleep and a morning of sunshine

I like bird songs and frog songs
the taste of raspberries and the smell of low tide
the gifts I get from my smiling daughters

I like sharing a secret with my husband
feeling his arms around me in the midnight moonlight
glimpsing pieces of love reflected in our lives

Notes on pleasures elsewhere:

  • For flowers, head to Victoria, B.C. where residents have counted 4,773,559,314 blooms [via Yule Heibel] .
  • For more on pillows and bedding, read Jeneane’s instructions for Sleep ROI
  • Now it’s time to go do something dangerous: push publish and take a bath…;-)

Julie, beautiful shots, and lovely words to accompany them, as well.

I wrote a post about you. Such a fortunate find for me 😀

Adored these photos and the poem. A beautiful piece of you and your garden. Thank you.
