From our home on Tuesday night…..

Abigail exclaimed “You got a new computer?! A laptop?!” as Ted carried his new Powerbook across the house. Our family time last night was spent admiring the new machine, all five of us sitting on the couch together and watching the screen.

“It has a picture of an apple on it….And one on the front. It’s an Apple Computer,” observed Michaela.

The girls concluded, “It’s Daddy’s job to type on the computer.” and they also told him:
“Now you have your own and you don’t have to use Mommy’s”

I must say it is funny to have Apple back in the house again. When Ted and I were first married, I would joke that he bled in rainbow hues, Apple colors. He faithfully attended MacWorld in Boston each summer. Even the few pens in the house that had Apple logos seemed sacred. We owned a Mac and Ted joked he should get a job selling them, since he often convinced others to buy one.

Then we got a PC. We even ended up donating our old Mac, giving it away to charity last year. In the middle of this cycle, Ted even worked at Apple for a while. Brought home a bunch of Newtons 🙂 Then he went to work at other places…..

And now he’s back to bleeding Apple colors again…at least a little bit.;)
