Christmas came early….

December 2nd, 2003 · 1 Comment

The other night when we came home exhausted from our Tour de Fry’s, I was surprised to find Ted immediately installing the new receiver. All I wanted to do was go to bed, and here he was unpacking and plugging in connections. Sometimes I’m amazed at how my husband likes to test his new toys when I am too tired to care. It didn’t matter to me if he got it done before he left for OSAF this week.

But now I am very grateful he took the time to fix our stereo. We’d only had CD so the tuner is a treat. The girls are requesting the Christmas tunes from the radio station. The music sounds clearer. We hear details we’ve never noticed before, like percussion and tones. Even singers sound different. What fun to listen to our “old” albums again, or even new ones, like Christine Dente’s Becoming , that came out after the stereo broke in September. It’s like having new music! Or getting new ears!

Thank you Santa!. 🙂

It wasn’t just testing the new toy — I wanted you to have every available diversion for the kids while I was away…..
