After blogging yesterday about The Bremerton Sun’s new Bainbridge paper, I found one in my mailbox today. I looked it over and appreciated the different angles they are taking from the Bainbridge Review. Some articles seem adapted from the larger Bremerton paper but others seem specific, interviews with athletes and artists. New news I hadn’t heard. Even making the crime blotter easier to read with subtitles “school thefts“…
In the Island Comment column, Steve Gardner mentioned what I posted, how The Passion of the Christ is not doing well on Bainbridge.
“It’s not doing well here at all and never has,” said Jeff Brein, co-owner of Bainbridge Cinemas at the Pavilion.
Brein said there have been no sell-outs, not even close. The best the movie has done during its entire run is get a theater about 25 percent full, he estimated….
Gardner then asked “What does this say about Bainbridge Island?” and requested help, providing email and phone number for feedback. That’s a beginning. It’s good. Get it on-line and it could be better….
