from yesterday

excerpts:

– went to a neighborhood meeting, the girls sitting quietly for an hour in wicker chairs.

– looked into the Strait of Juan de Fuca, saw across into Canada and glimpsed Mt. Baker like a white ghost hovering over the Sound.

– saw a Goss hawk and two turkey vultures

– walked with our friends to see waves crashing on cliffs

– played fetch with their 8 month old puppy

– drove two hours back

– dashed through the mall and ate handfuls of crackers

– looked at Venus in half phase from a dark parking lot

– bought socks and underwear

– headed home

– broke all rules and routines of the day

– ate dinner at 9:30

– went to bed
