My Degas daughter

On Wednesday, Abigail’s class did a little performance for the parents (and then the girls wanted the parents to perform for them too!). Watching the five and six year olds pirouette in their pastel tutus reminded me of Degas paintings.

for artistic – and privacy – reasons I blurred the image a bit with PhotoShop.

Wow, Julie (most of my comments on your blog seem to start with that, oh wel!), you did a superb job on that photo – I seriously wasn’t sure if it WAS a Degas painting or a modified photo. Perhaps partly because those dresses are too pretty for real life! I’d like to have one 😉

Thanks, Katherine. It was pretty easy to do with the PhotoShop software we have. Also, to clarify, the girls are wearing their standard-issue blue leotards with purple or blue tutus.
