Each in their own distinctive way

A while ago – weeks? months? – on a lark, I went crusing through the OSCON speaker listings, looking to see who else will be at the conference with my husband. Near Ted’s entry I saw this description which ended:

r0ml is married to one of the smartest, most energetic, most beautiful women in the world, and has only seven children — all of whom make him very proud, each in their own distinctive way.

I haven’t read all the speaker descriptions, but this one seemed rare – not only for the mention of seven children – but for the wonderful way this husband and father praised his family. So yesterday, when Ted mentioned to me that he had met r0ml (aka Robert Lefkowitz) I remembered what I had read….and I thought, for a number of reasons, that it would be appropriate to post this today! Happy Father’s Day to r0ml and to all dads everywhere who love their families, each in their own distinctive way.
