I’ve had so much fun at recent blogger get-togethers that I thought I’d initiate one:

Saturday July 17 starting at 11:30 am

Bainbridge Island Farmer’s Market
Let’s meet near the music booth (on the very left of this photo):
The plan:
Stroll through the market and downtown. Find food (or bring from home).
Enjoy a picnic lunch at Waterfront Park near the ferry dock.

How to get there
To walk to the market from the ferry dock: go uphill to Winslow Way, turn left then continue in that direction (west, away from the ferry dock). After Blackbird Bakery, turn right and go uphill. See map at the Market site. There may also be signs showing the way to go.
Who will be there?
I’m hoping that bloggers will come from both King and Kitsap counties.
If I have your email address and you are local, I will try to send you a more personal invitation in the next few days.
Children are very welcome. Our girls enjoy seeing the booths at the market. The island is kid-friendly and there is a playground at the picnic park.

Hi Julie! Good to hear from you and to be back blogging. I wish I could attend your get together–or at least find similar events in Tampa! I might have to start organizing my own too, but as you may have read, I’m swamped with academic nonsense.
