The kids are always funny, you know

For dinner last night Abigail and I made lasagne. Michaela helped too. It was a small assembly line between the three of us preparing the various layers (with uncooked noodles). Then we sat down together at the table to eat.

The kids try to remember to say thank you to the cook, especially if they liked the meal. I know I like it when they express their gratitude to me. And it is especially nice to be appreciated by the children when Ted isn’t home to appreciate me. 🙂

At the table last night Michaela commented:

Thank you guys for the meal (looking at Abigail and me) but I helped too …so thank you myself (little bow)!

When I laughed at her thank you myself she reminded me:

The kids are always funny you know, Mom.
