Our neighbors down the street got a puppy and the girls got to meet him yesterday for the first time.
On our way home, walking up the hill back to our house, I could tell the girls were getting attached to the dog, so I wasn’t surprised by Abigail’s question…
Abigail: When can we get a puppy?
Me: A dog is a lot of work. Who’s going to give the puppy a bath?
Abigail: Me!
Me: Who’s going to take the puppy for a walk?
Abigail: Me!
Me: Who’s going to clean up the puppy poop?
Abigail: I don’t know.
