Good to eat

Thanks to Dave Winer’s blog I now know I can let my kids be creative with their snacking…

From Anova :

Picking your nose and eating it is one of the best ways to stay healthy, according to a top Austrian doctor.

[…]

He pointed out that children happily pick their noses, yet by the time they have become adults they have stopped under pressure from a society that has branded it disgusting and anti social.

He said: “I would recommend a new approach where children are encouraged to pick their nose. It is a completely natural response and medically a good idea as well.”

I wonder about the validity of the supposed medical benefits of this practice – they might be negated by the social consequences of this behavior …but hey, I guess this means there’s one less thing I have to teach my children to do or un-do as the case may be…makes my mothering a bit easier 🙂

Who knew? Maybe other bad habits are ok too, like chewing your fingernails or smoking.
