this grace in which we stand
Romans 5:4
This week I’ve been reading about grace. And I’ve been needing grace.
I need it all the time. Yet I forget.
But it is on a week like this one when I see how much I lack. When I find myself yelling at the girls before we even get downstairs for breakfast. When I don’t have time or patience for people or even piles of laundry. When the whole house seems a mess and my attempts to tidy it only make me more anxious.
When my kids are sick with spots
and the power went off
when my in-laws are arriving
and my insides are striving
on days like today
I need to believe
I need to give and receive
in God’s grace. 🙂

my dear friend, we all need grace. I’ve had that kind of week too. I mean the beating myself over the head/guilt trip week. If only we could understand and experience grace deeper and more daily, as He intended.
