A breath of freesia air

Monday I took a little trip in the car with a vase of freesia. Mmmm. Beats those fakey-green-Christmas-tree pine air fresheners ;). I remember reading that the new VW Bugs have a flower vase beside the steering wheel. I thought that seemed frivolous but now I understand that design better…driving around with fresh flowers is something I should try to do more often (although a bit distracting!)

I’m also posting these pictures to thank my friend Katherine and her family who hosted Ted on Monday night at their home. Freesias (especially purple!) remind me of Katherine: I think she was the one who introduced me to this flower. Thanks!

Beautiful! Thank you! We have some freesia (in earlier spring) in our front yard but only white and pink, no purple, so I loved seeing these. I can almost smell it through the screen. It was our pleasure having Ted here. 🙂
